Aloha Rae Streutker was born in Seattle on May 18, 1921 to Ray Miner and Lettie Brown. She passed away Feb. 3, 2013 surrounded by her family in Bremerton Wa.
Aloha grew up in Bremerton and Los Angeles. She graduated from Bremerton High in 1939. She met the love of life, Jerry Streutker and were married on July 29, 1940.
They settled in Gorst and lived there for 62 years.
Aloha worked in retail most of her working years. She and Jerry traveled around the US in a travel trailer and wintered in Apache Junction for 30 years. She enjoyed all the life long friends she made as snow birds. She had many wonderful years of dancing with their special friends Harold and Louvain Harty, at Pearl Maures.
Her name, Aloha, was as unique and as special as she. Any new person she met would ask her about it and how she was named. She made many acquaintances by the inquires.
In her later years she loved following the activities of her family and supported everyone.
She loved her family unconditionally, she was our "go to person" for all the challenges of life.
She is preceded in death by her father, Ray Miner and mother, Lettie Brown: sister Anita Benn. Surviving by brother Frank Miner; husband, Jerry Streutker; sons, Larry (Cherie), Tim (Jonnie) of Port Orchard; daughter, Lee Ann (Micheal) Haugen of Silverdale. Seven granddaughters, Joann, Elizabeth,Suzanne, Vicki, Pam, Michele And Karmen. Great grandchildren Heber, Austin, Justin, Micheal Ann, Maya Jean, Samatha and Tommy. Great-great grandchildren, Wyatt, Ella and Sydney and numerous nieces and nephews.
We as a family, love you as you loved us and will be with us forever.
The family wold like to thank Bay Point Retirement of Oyster Bay, Belmont Nursing Home and the quick response from kitsap Hospice for all the loving care they gave to her.
A celebration of life will be held on her birthday.
