Sylvia Anne Marie Tam Sing, born and raised in Hawaii, peacefully passed away on Tuesday, January 22, 2013 in Bremerton, Washington. She attended Star of the Sea Catholic School in Honolulu and was employed with Finance Factors, Sheraton Hotels, the Hawaii State Legislature, and retired as civilian support to the various branches of service. She was a member of the Hawaii Jaycees and the Chinese Catholic Club of Honolulu. She spent many years as a CCD Director and instructor and gave her many talents to the church and the community.
Sylvia loved dancing the hula, playing the ukulele and piano, singing, and spreading the aloha spirit to everyone she met.
She is survived by her daughter, Malia Miller of Bremerton, her grandson Brandon Miller, granddaughter Lauren Miller, two great-granddaughter’s Taylee and Peyton. Sister Darlene Harrison of Las Vegas, brother Roland Tam Sing of Seattle, brother Tony Tam Sing of Honolulu, & sister Terry Anderson of Bremerton.
Services will be held at Our Lady Star of the Sea Catholic church in Bremerton on Thursday, January 31, 2013 at 11:00am.
