Vernon Dale Abrahamson, born Jan. 15, 1931 in Terry, MT passed away at his home in Bremerton, WA on Dec. 1, 2012. Vernon was a WSU graduate (C/O 1954), and went on to serve his country in the Army’s 11th Medical Detachment, 4th Infantry stationed in Germany nearing the end of the Korean War.
Vernon spent his career as a pharmacist at Farrell’s for 35 years. He was a member of the Elks for 61 years, as well as a member of the Moose Lodge, and the American Legion. Vernon loved watching his granddaughter’s fast pitch games, and enjoyed sports, gambling, bowling and watching old westerns. He also loved seeing WAZZU defeat UW in the recent Apple Cup.
Vernon is survived by his daughter Keri (Paul) Meigs of Bremerton, and grandchildren Stephanie, Alyssa, & Trevor. He is also survived by his brother Bernard Abrahamson of Montana (the last surviving of 16 siblings), and step-daughters Debbie and Diane. He was preceded in death by his former wife, Dorothy Vettleson, and a step-son Jack.
